Terms of Service

Last updated: 1 November 2026 · Effective: 1 November 2026

1. Who we are

This website and the Kakehashi service (the “Service”) are operated by Classmethod Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. (Company No. 202501038448 (1639857-A)) (“we”, “us”, “Classmethod Malaysia”), a company incorporated in Malaysia with its principal place of business at Unit 3-03-01, Aurora Place, 1, Persiaran Jalil 1, Bandar Bukit Jalil, 57000 Kuala Lumpur, Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Classmethod Malaysia is the merchant of record for every order placed through this website. No other company in our group contracts with you in respect of the Service.

2. Agreement to these Terms

By creating an account, purchasing credit or using the Service, you agree to these Terms of Service, our Acceptable Use Policy, our Refund Policy and our Privacy Policy, which form a single agreement between you and us. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

If you use the Service on behalf of a company or other organisation, you represent that you are authorised to bind that organisation, and “you” means that organisation.

These Terms apply to the Kakehashi service only. They are a standalone agreement: they are separate from, and do not form part of, the Classmethod Members Terms of Use (Malaysia) or any other agreement you may have with us or with any other company in our group. If you also subscribe to another Classmethod service, that service is governed by its own terms.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract. The Service is intended for business and professional use and is not directed at children.

4. The Service

The Service is a managed gateway that gives you access, through an API key issued to you, to large language models and related artificial intelligence services supplied by third-party providers (the “Third-Party AI Services”). We route your requests to the relevant Third-Party AI Service, meter your usage and return the output to you.

We do not develop the underlying models. Availability, performance, model versions and features of the Third-Party AI Services may change, be deprecated or be withdrawn by their providers, and the Service will change accordingly.

5. Accounts and API keys

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials and API keys confidential, for all activity carried out through them, and for notifying us without delay at info@classmethod.my if you believe they have been compromised. We may suspend an API key that we reasonably believe is compromised or is being used in breach of these Terms.

6. Credit, prices and payment

The Service is prepaid. You purchase credit in advance, and your usage of the Service is deducted from that credit at the rates published on our website at the time of use.

  • All prices are stated in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR) and are exclusive of Malaysian Sales and Service Tax (SST), which is added at the prevailing rate. Our SST registration number is shown on each invoice.
  • Card payments are processed by our payment service provider, Airwallex. We do not store your full card details.
  • Credit is applied to your account once payment has been authorised and received.
  • Credit has no cash value, cannot be transferred to another account or person, and expires twelve (12) months after the date of purchase.
  • If your credit is exhausted, requests to the Service will be declined until further credit is purchased.

7. Usage records

Our usage records are the primary record of the volume of your usage of the Service. If you believe a record is wrong, notify us within 30 days of the relevant usage and we will investigate in good faith.

8. Acceptable use

You must comply with our Acceptable Use Policy, which forms part of these Terms, and with the usage policies of the Third-Party AI Services as notified to you or published by their providers. You must not use the Service to generate, transmit, upload, store or distribute content that is prohibited under that policy, including pornographic, adult or sexual content, violent content, illegal or unsafe content, and content that infringes the intellectual property rights of others.

We may suspend or terminate your access immediately, without refund of credit consumed, where we reasonably believe you have breached this clause.

9. Your content and our use of it

You retain all rights in the inputs you submit to the Service (“Input”). As between you and us, you own the outputs generated for you (“Output”), to the extent such rights can be owned under applicable law.

You grant us a limited licence to process Input and Output solely to operate, secure and support the Service, including transmitting them to the relevant Third-Party AI Service. We do not use your Input or Output to train our own models. The providers of the Third-Party AI Services handle Input and Output under their own terms, which we pass through to you.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights necessary to submit your Input, and for reviewing Output before relying on it. Output may be inaccurate, incomplete or unsuitable for your purpose, and identical or similar Output may be generated for other users.

10. Our intellectual property

We and our licensors retain all rights in the Service, the website, our documentation and our trade marks. Nothing in these Terms transfers any of those rights to you.

11. Service levels, suspension and maintenance

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis unless a separate written service level agreement applies to you. We may suspend the Service for scheduled or emergency maintenance, to protect the security or integrity of the Service, or where required by law or by a provider of a Third-Party AI Service. We will give reasonable notice where practicable.

12. Term and termination

You may close your account at any time. We may terminate or suspend your account on 30 days’ notice, or immediately where you breach these Terms, where we are required to do so by law, or where a Third-Party AI Service is withdrawn. On termination, unused credit is dealt with under our Refund Policy.

13. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by Malaysian law, we exclude all warranties not expressly set out in these Terms, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that Output will be accurate, lawful or fit for your purpose.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any right you may have under the Consumer Protection Act 1999 or any other Malaysian law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

14. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect, special or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, data or goodwill. Our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with these Terms is limited to the amounts paid by you to us for the Service in the three (3) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

15. Indemnity

You will indemnify us against claims, losses and reasonable costs arising from your Input, your Output, or your use of the Service in breach of these Terms or of our Acceptable Use Policy.

16. Confidentiality and personal data

Each party will keep the other’s confidential information confidential. We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (Malaysia).

17. Subcontractors

We may engage affiliates and subcontractors to operate parts of the Service, including Classmethod, Inc. (Japan) for platform operation and cloud account administration. We remain responsible to you for their performance.

18. Changes to these Terms

We may amend these Terms. We will publish the amended Terms on this website and, where the change is material, give you at least 30 days’ notice by email before it takes effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

19. Force majeure

Neither party is liable for failure to perform caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including acts of government, failures of telecommunications or cloud infrastructure, and the withdrawal or failure of a Third-Party AI Service.

20. Assignment and entire agreement

You may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent. These Terms, together with the policies referred to in clause 2, are the entire agreement between us in respect of the Service.

21. Governing law and jurisdiction

Your order will be processed by Classmethod Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. in accordance with the laws of Malaysia.

These Terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or the Service, are governed by the laws of Malaysia. The courts of Malaysia have exclusive jurisdiction, and you and we submit to that jurisdiction.

22. Language

These Terms are made in English. Any translation is provided for convenience only; in the event of any inconsistency, the English version prevails.
